The Statement Boot

by Administrator 11. March 2010 06:52

The Statement Boot theme was hot in Fall, Winter and is carrying on into Spring. Boots don't go away with warmer weather, they are tons of ankle boots options some even with a peekabo in the toe. We love this video from Vouge TV where they go over how to use a Satement Boot to create a boho look, modern look & sleek look and a look to wear out at night with friends.

We have said this many times but we really do believe a fantastic pair of denim and a great fitting undertease is the perfect outfit. Pair it with a great pair of boots and you are set!

Or wear one with just a cute cami.  It is fun to pair a color with a patterned cami. Just pick a color that is the cami's pattern and your whole outfit will pop and mesh perfectly.

Spring's Top 3 Trends

by Administrator 6. March 2010 04:58

#1 Boy Cut Blazers — This trend was here in the fall and winter, and it is here to stay for spring as well. Time to invest in a high quality, great fit Boyfriend Blazer. Over at www.BlendFashions.com they have our favorite Boyfriend Blazer for sale from BB Dakota.  Take a look:

#2 Print Skirts–This one is a lot of fun to play around with.  Don’t be afraid to mix different pattern combos! Just try to keep one common color and mix femininity with a “rocker chic” style. Also, another trend is that hemlines have officially dropped! The floor sweeping style is the ultimate in understated cool and reminds us of early ’90s summer days. Last year it was Maxi Dresses.  This year it is Maxi Skirts.

#3 Blue Bags– Blued hued bags bring a beautiful “cool” toned color to spring and we just love it. Check out the beautiful blue hued bags we have found around the web:

Shopping with Teens

by Administrator 17. February 2010 13:17

All over the country moms, dads, grandparents, and older siblings are battling their teens when shopping for clothes! At times, shopping really can be a lot of fun.  But if you have teenage daughters, you know it can also be very...stressful at times :)

You worry about your daughters showing off too much skin, looking older than they should, and keeping comfortable and warm this season. You don't want to make them feel frumpy and old or stifle their indivual fashion sense too much either! You want them to be able to wear today's current trends WITHOUT looking tacky!

This is why you need Undertease.  It will be such a load off your shoulders to know that you won't get into fights (or not as many :)) during your shopping adventures because you have an answer.  You can now say, "Yes you can get this top but it has to work with an undertease cami, tank, cap sleeve...." You can set the rules for your home.

The teenagers I know (and their moms!) love the Nordstrom BP line because it is a really affordable high quality line. I wanted to show you some examples of how you can make these trends work for you and your children.

BP's Print Racerback Tunic Top at Nordstrom

Racerback Tanks were a huge trend this summer and will continue to be so. But they most likely don't go along with the school dress code.  They also show off quite a bit of shoulders, back and cleavage. Pairing them with an undertease cap or even tank does not make these shirts look "weird" or "funky" as your teenagers would say.  Undertease goes fabulously well.

The skinny jeans are in too.  But once again, here's another pair of jeans where the rise is very low. Our kids should know that showing off "cleavage" when bending over or sitting down is just so unflattering.  Unfortunately, lots of them don't seem to know this! When you pair all their outfits with an undertease cami, it is long enough to solve this problem.

Sweater dresses are in and they are adorable paired with a skinny jean or leggings. Although, our kids must have something against being warm- throughout the winter, they tend to leave the house not covered up enough. The undertease scoop neck is the perfect thing to pair under sweater dresses to make sure your girls stay warm.

Hope these ideas have helped.  Have a fun time shopping with your teens, and take advantage of how Undertease can help you!

Working Undertease into Work Outfits

by Administrator 13. February 2010 03:40

Here are some fun ideas we have come up with to work undertease into your work outfits:

The Boyfriend Blazer is a huge huge trend this fall.  See how perfect it looks paired over just a white tee and jazzed up with fabulous accessories! Pairing it with an undertease top would be even more fantastic because undertease doesn't bunch, it NEVER stretches out, and it is a very clean looking top. This would look great with a nice dark denim jean on a relaxed work day, with nice dress slacks, or with a pencil skirt. Depending on how cool or warm you want to be, you can wear anything from a cami to a long sleeve top.

Find all of these blazers here at Nordstrom.

Pretty blouses in all shapes and forms are fabulous this season and work well (once again) with a pencil skirt or nice work slacks. But they often are sheer and flowy, which results in showing too much skin when bending over.  By just laying an undertease cami underneath, you make sure you are not showing too much skin or making anyone uncomfortable in the workplace.

You can find all of these blouses here at Nordstrom.

Ruffles are also a huge trend this fall, but when one part of your outfit has great detail in it like a ruffle jacket, ruffle top, or cardigan, you don't want your other layering pieces to be too busy. That is why pairing it with an undertease is really perfect.

Winter Wardrobe Blahs

by Administrator 10. February 2010 15:12

Are you stuck in the Winter Wardrobe Blahs? Until it starts to warm up, we thought we would give you some fun tips to spruce up your wardrobe until you can wear some fun new spring items!

1. Break out the soft spring colors (pastels) now! It is fun to pair a black jacket and pair of tights with a beautiful soft pink dress underneath. Bring spring early by sneaking those spring colors into your outfits.

2. Classic Plaid--Plaid is a fun way to spruce up an outfit and do something different! It works really well with other knit items and a pair of great denim.

3. Accessories--Buy a new scarf for under $10 or a pair of fun earrings to make your outfit just a bit more fun.

4. Bright Tights--Stockings in hot hues can add a much-needed kick to your everyday skirts, pumps and winter accessories.

5. Repurpose your summer favorites by LAYERING! This is what the long sleeved underteases are for!  You can wear your lightweight/short sleeved shirts but still be warm!
